Get Unready With Me

At the end of the day, no matter what, I have to take my makeup off. I could've been through the apocalypse and fought a dragon or two, but I always take it off. It's like my relaxation at the end of the day.

Taking off your makeup before you sleep is so important. Mascara can ruin your lashes if left in. Foundation can seep into your pores and give you breakouts... Save yourself, REMOVE YOUR MAKEUP BEFORE BED.

This has been a PSA by Crystal Stasolla. (lol)

Now that we have that out of the way, let me show you how I remove my makeup every night before bed!

Step 1: Remove Makeup

Clinique - Take The Day Off Balm

I LOVE makeup remover balms. They're so much easier than wipes and remove makeup so much better. Wipes can rip out your eyelashes and irritate your skin. Not to mention, you use a lot of them to take off a full face of makeup. This balm lasts me so much longer and it gently removes my makeup. You just rub it on your face dry. It melts all of your makeup off. Then, you rinse it off and wash your face as usual! Easy peasy.

Step 2: Cleanse Your Face

Drunk Elephant - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser

Jelly cleansers are a new favorite of mine. They're sudsy and clean off extra makeup super well. This cleanser has makeup dissolving emollients in it to leave skin clean and soft. It's perfect for sensitive skin because it's free of SLS, fragrance, and essential oils. AND it has a PH level of 5.9, which is perfect to balance out the skin. It has a sticky almost hair jell like texture that makes it easy to spread on your face. I use it with my Clarisonic a lot of the time and it just adds to the cleaning power. The Clarisonic is a vibrating face cleanser brush that cleans your face 6X better than hands alone. It's gentle and has a 1 minute timer to make sure you did a thorough job. It's also a little massage for the face.

Step 3: Tone

Lush - Eau Roma Water

You've heard about my favorite toner a million times now. It's amazing. Just go try it...

The benefits of rosewater for the skin are endless. It has anti-inflammatory properties and can help reduce redness of irritated skin, help control breakouts, get rid of eczema, reduce puffiness, slow the aging process, hydrate skin, maintain PH, and more!

Pro Tip: Help your moisturizer last longer by applying it while face is damp. It'll spread easier and you can use less!

Step 4: Moisturize

Mitchell and Peach - Flora No. 1 Fine Radiance Face Oil

This is another one I've talked about a million times. It's so good though.... It helps even out skin tone and balance oils. It hydrates the skin and leaves a glow. I love this at the end of the day because it's like I've removed all of my impurities and then I bring life back into my skin.

Step 5: Sleep

This is my favorite part. Always try your best to get a full 8 hours, if you can. Sleeping heals and repairs the skin. No miracle cream is going to do what a good night of rest can do. You can only aid your skin during sleep.

There you have it! My nighttime routine for taking the day off.

Hope you liked it 😊 Come share what your routine is, or some products you think I should try, on my Instagram!
